Boy, 16, threatened by man with a knife

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was threatened by a man holding a knife.

The victim was approached on Cricklade Road in Cirencester at about 20:30 BST on Sunday, while he was fishing in the river behind Tesco.

The offender is described as a white man in his 40s, with a "scruffy appearance", no teeth, and wearing a black baseball cap, police said. He was also carrying a bicycle as well as a fishing rod and reel with a yellow tip.

While the victim was not physically hurt, he was left shaken by the encounter, police said.
