A review is to be carried out following the death of a hospital inpatient on an Aberdeen street, NHS Grampian has said.

Emergency services attended after the man was found seriously injured in the Rosemount area of the city on Wednesday 12 June at about 14:40.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not being treated as suspicious.

In a statement, NHS Grampian said: “In line with national guidance, a significant adverse event review is commissioned following the unexpected death of an inpatient.”

The city’s Wallfield Crescent was closed while inquiries took place.

Police Scotland said the man’s death was being treated as non-suspicious, and thanked members of the public for their support during its investigations.
