Arrest after female police officer punched in face

A man has been arrested after a female police officer was punched in the face when she was responding to a call.
The officer and two colleagues were called to a report of a disturbance at an address in Newhaven shortly after 19.00GMT on Tuesday.
The female police constable briefly lost consciousness when she was assaulted by a man who then attacked two of her colleagues.
The officers needed to use Tasers to safely detain the man.
The officer who was punched was hospitalised but has since been discharged.
The other two officers were injured in the attack but did not require hospital treatment.
A 20-year-old man who was arrested remains in police custody.
