A pair of "large scale" drug dealers have been jailed for two years and three months after admitting to being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B substances.

Joshua Longland, 33, and Benjamin Hollis, 41, were sentenced at Peterborough Crown Court after police found evidence of drug dealing when searching their homes.

Cambridgeshire Police said checks also found that Longland, of College Court, Sawtry, had about £130,000 in his bank that he could not account for.

A police spokesperson said the pair were "involved in drug dealing on a large scale in the Huntingdonshire and Peterborough areas”.

Officers obtained a warrant to search Longland's home in 2021 after receiving intelligence about drug dealing.

They found about £5,000 in cash and a smartphone containing evidence of drug dealing, including text messages and debt sheets.

Hollis was found to be working with Longland, and officers obtained a warrant to search Hollis's home in Louthe Way, Sawtry.

They found a block of cocaine, deal bags and a mobile phone containing messages about drug dealing between him and Longland, said police.

The pair admitted to being concerned in the supply of illegal drugs, and they were jailed on 22 July at Peterborough Crown Court.

PC Tom Russell said: “Drugs ruin the lives of so many people, so it is only right Hollis and Longland have been brought to justice and are now behind bars."
