The story of the general election campaign in Wiltshire
- Published
As Wiltshire prepares to elect its next MPs, the BBC has been hearing from local voters and candidates about the priorities for the county.
Since 2015 all Wiltshire's MPs have been Conservative, but Labour and the Liberal Democrats are pinning their hopes on winning back a presence here.
For the first time, the Green Party and Reform UK are fielding candidates in every seat, and there are several smaller party and independent candidates too.
Due to the redrawing of the electoral map, Wiltshire is going from a total of seven up to eight MPs, sharing one with Gloucestershire.
Local BBC election debates
BBC Radio Wiltshire has hosted three election debates for the local area, with questions and topics suggested by our audience through the BBC's Your Voice Your Vote.
Dentists, social care, housing and trust in politics came up as topics in our county-wide visualised debate, available on BBC iPlayer or just below, with a representative from each of the five main parties.
Radio debates specifically for Swindon and for Salisbury are also available on BBC Sounds.

Polls will be open from 0700 to 2200 on Thursday 4th July.
When will we learn the local results?
All Wiltshire's results will be counted overnight Thursday into Friday.
Swindon is famously fast at counting, with South Swindon constituency expected to be the first in our area to declare in the early hours.
Other parts of Wiltshire take longer in part because of the distances involved to transport ballot boxes.
Expect the county's full set of results by 0600 on Friday morning.
We'll have full live local coverage overnight on bbc.co.uk/wiltshire and on BBC Radio Wiltshire.
