Person taken to hospital after two-vehicle crash on M5

A person has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the M5 in Somerset.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the scene between junction 24 for Bridgwater and junction 25 for Taunton at about 11:00 BST.

One person was taken to hospital. Their injuries are not though to be life-threatening or life-changing, Avon and Somerset Police said.

The M5 was temporarily closed in both directions and there are delays of about 45 minutes southbound and 30 minutes northbound following the incident, according to National Highways.

Anybody with information is asked to contact police.
