A village in South Somerset is holding a scarecrow festival as part of its "Britain in Bloom" campaign.

People who live in Barrington have made over 20 colourful scarecrows and positioned them outside their houses.

They range from traditional straw creations to film and television characters such as "Woody" from Toy Story and "Mr. Tickle".

The winner will be announced on Saturday 17 August at the village fete.
