Mud and vegetation is blocking Shorwell Shute

A "significant landslip" has blocked a road on the Isle of Wight.

The collapse at Shorwell Shute was reported on Monday by Island Roads, which manages the highway network.

The debris has shut part of the B3323 between Shorwell and Newport, causing Southern Vectis bus services to be diverted.

Island Roads said it would discuss the collapse with the landowner and warned drivers to take extra care while conditions remain wet.
