A £5m bridge has been craned into position over the A5 in north Shropshire.

The link will connect Oswestry with a planned business park on the other side of the road.

The road was shut overnight on Monday while the bridge was lifted into position.

Shropshire Council expects the Innovation Park to be open for business in early 2025.

The link will be fully open in the spring, once the ramps and landscaping works have been completed, the council said.

Planning approval for the Innovation Park was given on condition the bridge was completed before the estate was built.

The council is now planning for work including new roads and drainage to get the park ready for businesses to move in.
