Armed police arrested three people after a shot was fired at a family home in an attack that was said to have been filmed and put on social media.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the house in Prince Edward Avenue, Oldham, was hit at 01:00 BST.
Two men and a woman, all in their 30s, were arrested in on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear.
GMP said the vehicle allegedly used in the attack was traced to Chester, where the suspects were arrested.
Det Insp Clare Harrison said: “This was a brazen attack against a family, filmed and plastered over social media.
"We do believe that this was targeted, with our suspects travelling from Birmingham and Cheshire, and there is no risk to the wider public."
