A woman charged with murder will go on trial later this year.

Christine Kekkonen, 36, of Dunsford Terrace in Baltonsborough, Somerset, did not appear at a provisional hearing at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday.

She was charged on 11 May after a man died from stab wounds at the same address two days earlier.

Avon and Somerset Police said the victim has now been formally identified as Henri Kekkonen, 41.

No application for bail was made during the hearing and hearing date was set for 25 June, at which Kekkonen, of Dunsford Terrace, will enter a plea.

A provisional trial date of 11 November was also set, with the proceedings scheduled to last seven days.
