Three men have been arrested after a cannabis farm was found in a city centre building.

Ninety mature cannabis plants and another 90 seedlings were discovered in the property on Piccadilly, Hanley, on Tuesday 6 February.

A 31-year-old from Birmingham and a 26-year-old of no fixed address were arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled class B drug.

A 22-year-old, also of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in production of the drug. All had been released on conditional bail, said police.

The plants had been seized, and the property - opposite the Regent Theatre - had been secured, added the Staffordshire force.
