A woman has died in a crash involving three cars in Staffordshire.

A black Fiat 500, a black Kia Picanto and a silver Ford Fiesta crashed on Cheadle Road, Forsbrook, near Stoke-on-Trent, at about 16:30 BST on Sunday.

Paramedics arrived to find a female passenger from a Ford Fiesta receiving CPR from bystanders. The woman, aged in her 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men and a second woman who were also hurt in the crash suffered injuries which were not serious and were discharged at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance said.

Sgt Richard Moors said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has lost her life.

"Specially-trained officers are supporting them at this traumatic time."
