Man charged over burglaries and police assaults

A 19-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a spate of burglaries in South Yorkshire and with three counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
The man, of no fixed abode, appeared before Sheffield Magistrates' Court on 21 December.
He was charged in connection with recent burglaries in Swinton, near Rotherham, as well as in Walkley, Wadsley Bridge, Wincobank, High Green, Grenoside and Norfolk Park in Sheffield.
He was also charged with driving a vehicle at police officers to evade arrest on 13 December.
