A 14-year-old girl has been arrested and charged after another girl, aged 12, was injured in a knife incident at an Aberdeen school.

The incident happened at Hazlehead Academy in Groats Road at about 10:30.

The 12-year-old was taken to Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital for treatment and was later released.

Police said the 14-year-old would be reported to the relevant authorities.
