A Merseyside drug dealer who peddled heroin and crack cocaine into North Wales has been detained.
Ross Keegan, from Liverpool, controlled the so-called "Scouse Kane line" in the Wrexham area, said Merseyside Police.
The 20-year-old was first arrested in July in Wrexham over an outstanding warrant. His role in supplying Class A drugs in the area then emerged during investigations into county lines.
Keegan, who pleaded guilty, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday to three years in a young offenders' institution.
'Tackling county lines'
Keegan, of Rennell Road in Knotty Ash, was charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
Under Operation Toxic, police were investigating drug dealers in the Wrexham area and identified Keegan as the controller of the county line supplying crack cocaine and heroin.
He was also issued a five-year criminal behaviour order to only own/use one mobile phone and not to enter Wrexham.
Det Sgt Shaun McNee said: "Keegan controlled the 'Scouse Kane' line where he peddled crack cocaine and heroin on the streets of Wrexham.
"We are pleased this investigation has disrupted the chain of supply and taken a significant quantity of drugs off the streets and further afield."
He added: "Project Medusa is dedicated to cutting these County Lines dead and taking those who operate them off our streets and working with partners to help those who may be exploited by these gangs."
