Long delays after M8 closed over concern for person

Drivers were delayed for hours on the M8 in West Lothian after the motorway was closed in both directions over "concern for a person".
Police urged motorists to avoid the area at Junction 3a near Bathgate after officers were sent out at 18:10.
Hundreds of drivers were caught in four-mile tailbacks before the road reopened at 20:30.
Police Scotland said the incident had been "resolved safely".
