Two men are facing jail terms after carrying out a "horrific" machete attack in broad daylight.

A man was attacked in Barcroft Road, Wolverhampton, during the afternoon of 13 February and left with life-changing injuries, police said.

At a Wolverhampton Crown Court hearing on 27 August, Jassdeep Singh, 21, was found guilty of conspiring to commit grievous bodily harm.

At an earlier hearing, 19-year-old Faisal Hussain pleaded guilty to the same offence. They are due to be sentenced on 31 October.

Singh, of Ingestre Road, Wolverhampton, and Hussain, of Goldhill Road, Handsworth, in Birmingham, were remanded in custody ahead of their sentencing.

Det Con Leah Povey from West Midlands Police said: "This was a horrific attack in broad daylight.

"There's no justification for such extreme violence and these two men will rightly be spending time behind bars for their actions."
