Potential firefighters, interested in full-time or on-call roles, have been urged to apply or seek further information.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) said it was accepting applications for its November 2025 cohort of on-call firefighters and asked others interested in full-time roles to sign up for information.
On-call crew are not based at fire stations but usually live or work between six and eight minutes from their local on-call fire station and are ready to respond to emergencies when needed.
RBFRS said it was particularly interested in hearing from people in or around Lambourn "who want to make a difference in their communities in a unique and fulfilling career".
Anyone who lives or works within eight minutes of Lambourn Fire Station or six minutes of Mortimer, Hungerford, Maidenhead or Crowthorne Fire Stations can apply to be an on-call firefighter.
On-call crew receive an annual wage and additional payments for attending drill nights, training and any incidents.
They usually provide between 40 and 120 hours of cover week.
"Serving the people of Berkshire is at the heart of everything we do, and we need more on-call firefighters with the passion and drive to help those in their time of need," Matt Riley, on-call station manager and hub officer at RBFRS, said.
He added: "We're looking for people, particularly in the local Lambourn area, who want to make a difference in their communities in a unique and fulfilling career."
The service said it was also launching a new series of sessions to help potential applicants find out more about becoming a full-time firefighter.
