Men jailed after 15-year-old stabbed and punched

Two men have been jailed after a teenage boy was lured to a park and stabbed.
The 15-year-old was attacked in a park off Kitchener Road, Coventry, on 3 February, West Midlands Police said.
Ismail Hussain, 19, and Adam Mehmood, 18, both from the city, were jailed for 19 and 15 years respectively at Warwick Crown Court, after being convicted of attempted murder and possession of a blade.
A 17-year-old boy was found guilty of wounding, possession of a blade and perverting the course of justice and given a two-year detention and training order. Police said there was no place for such extreme violence in the city and they were grateful the victim was not more seriously injured.
All three were armed with knives, the West Midlands force said.
The court heard how the victim had been lured to the park by Hussain, who had called him, asking him to come down to see him, police said.
Collapsed in street
He was greeted by Mehmood and the 17-year-old, then aged 16.
But, shortly after, Hussain, from Curzon Avenue, arrived "and the mood immediately became hostile, with him pulling out a knife and stabbing" the victim.
Police added the 19-year-old was then backed up by Mehmood, of Durbar Avenue, who "joined in on the horrific attack".
The 15-year-old stumbled out of the park and collapsed in the street, with members of the public giving him first aid until an ambulance arrived.
He had "thankfully made a healthy recovery," the force said.
Det Insp Sherrie Kimberley said: "There is no place for such extreme violence in this city and we're grateful the victim was not more seriously injured."
