Woman accused of £10K Alcoholics Anonymous theft

A woman has appeared in court charged with stealing more than £10,000 from an Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) group in Londonderry.
Niamh Bonner, 54, of Central Drive in Derry, is charged with two counts of theft totalling £10,500 on dates between 1 August 2018 and 1 December 2019 from the charity.
She is also accused of one count of fraud by abuse of position.
At a preliminary enquiry hearing on Wednesday, it was accepted there was a case to answer.
Ms Bonner said that she did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
The judge released Ms Bonner on bail and she will appear before the court again in September.
