Police are investigating the theft of a motorbike and three bicycles from a shipping container in the Scottish Borders.

Ten mountain bike tyres and a five suspension forks were also taken in the raid in Traquair, near Innetheithen, between 16:30 on Sunday and 08:25 on Monday.

Officers are reviewing CCTV and carrying out door-to-door inquiries in a bid to trace the culprits.

"We are keen to trace four people who were seen in the area, along with a white van," a force spokesman said.

The stolen bikes are:

  • Red Honda motorbike, registration FH67 LGV

  • Ibis Hakka gravel bike

  • Scott Genius bike, small size

  • YT Capra mountain bike, black, medium size
