Flood warning to islanders after heavy rain

Police have urged motorists to "exercise caution"

Islanders are being warned of localised flooding across Guernsey after significant rainfall.
Guernsey Police said the majority of the areas affected were prone to flooding, including Route Des Sages in St Pierre Du Bois and Route Des Capelles and Verte Rue in St Sampson.
In a post on Facebook, the force warned islanders to avoid the areas and urged motorists to "exercise caution".
Hautes Capelles Primary School asked parents to collect children early due to flooding.
Guernsey Police said it had received reports of pedestrians being "hit with water" from passing vehicles.
"While we do not believe there to be any malice behind this, motorists please slow your speed when passing pedestrians," the force said.
