A man has been jailed for historical sex offences which police said caused the victims "considerable trauma".
Daniel Dixon, 34, of no fixed address, was arrested in March 2023 after a complaint was made against him. Dixon was questioned again after second victim came forward, telling police they had also been abused by him.
At a trial at Teesside Crown Court earlier this month he was found guilty of two counts of raping a child under the age of 13 and the rape of a person aged over 16. He was also convicted of causing a child to watch a sexual act.
Dixon was sentenced at the same court to eight years in jail and placed on the sex offenders register.
Speaking after sentencing, Det Sgt Claire McNeill said: "The victims in this case suffered considerable trauma from what they went through, but I must commend their bravery in coming forward.
"Dixon added to their stress and pain by continuing to deny what he had done but I'm relieved that a jury has now convicted him and that he'll spend a considerable amount of time in prison."
