Four more arrests have been made as part of an investigation into alleged illegal fox hunt.

It follows a meet involving the Coniston Foxhounds and Teme Valley Hunt in Ambleside, in the Lake District, on 8 November.

Cumbria Police said three men and one woman were arrested in the Powys area of Wales on Thursday. They were held on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

It takes the total number of arrests to 16 and all have been released on bail while enquiries continue.

The Cumbrian force said the latest arrests were made with the help of Dyfed-Powys Police.
