Hunt for driver after cyclist seriously injured

Police are investigating after a cyclist was found injured in a country lane.

Derbyshire Police said a woman in her 50s was found next to a bicycle in Coggers Lane, Hathersage, at about 12:25 BST on Sunday.

She was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious condition, the force said.

Officers are now appealing for help to identify the driver of a grey Mazda CX5 they said was travelling in the area around that time.

The force said it believed the driver may be able to help with the investigation.
