Van driver in his 50s dies after ditch crash

Police were called to the scene on Spalding Road on Saturday morning

A man in his 50s has died after the van he was driving crashed into a ditch, police have said.

Officers were called to the scene, on Spalding Road to the east of Bourne, at about 10:20 GMT on Saturday.

They found a white van which had left the road and come to rest in a ditch and the driver died at the scene, a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said.

Officers appealed for witnesses, or people with dashcam footage from the scene at around the time of the crash, to contact them.
