Bob Dylan is heading to Coventry for the first time, as part of his Rough and Rowdy Way world tour.

The gig, at the Coventry Building Society Arena, will be phone-free, with fans asked to lock away their devices.

To celebrate his arrival, a pop-up exhibition launched to celebrate the superstar and the popular cover of his song Maggie's Farm by The Specials, who are from the city.

The music icon will take to the stage on Thursday.

How do I get to the arena?

You can get to the arena by car, train, bus and taxi.

There are more than 2,000 parking spaces on the site, which is off Junction 3 of the M6.

The arena is on the Leamington-Nuneaton line, and is eight minutes away from Coventry rail station.

You can get the bus to the retail park opposite the arena, which is a 10-minute walk away.

When does the show start?

Doors open for the show at 18:00 GMT, with last entry at 19:00.

The show starts at 19:30, and there are no support acts.

Mike Lloyd, industry expert and music promoter, said the concert would be a win for Coventry.

"It's absolutely huge because people travel from everywhere for it.

"It's particularly massive because it's the only gig in the Midlands and because it's Bob Dylan.

"He so rarely appears in this country, loads of people will be coming out to what I'm sure will be a sold out show."

Why can't I use my phone?

Use of phones, cameras and recording devices will not be allowed at the concert.

When you arrive at the concert, staff from phone pouch company Yondr will help fans put their devices in a locked and secured pouch, which you can keep with you throughout the evening.

Your phone can be unlocked at any time if you take it to one of the dedicated areas intended for phone use.

Medical exemptions will be made for people who need their phone for treatment.

Bob Dylan's website said that a phone-free experience had been created on recent tours, and the team believed it created a better experience for people in attendance.

"Our eyes open a little more and our senses are slightly sharper when we lose the technological crutch we've grown accustomed to," the website said.

Anyone seen using a phone during the performance will be escorted out of the venue, it added.

What is the set list?

There are 36 songs on the tour's official playlist.

These include tracks from the Rough and Rowdy Ways album like Black Rider, Goodbye Jimmy Reed, and Murder Most Foul.

Other songs include Don't Think Twice, It's All Right, It Ain't Me Babe, and All Along The Watchtower.
