Athletics equipment used at this year's Olympic Games in Paris has been given a new home at a gymnastics club in Jersey.

Apparatus, including a set of bars and crash mats with the Paris 2024 logo, has been installed at Regent Gymnastics Club in St Helier.

The club said a collaboration with the Independent Gymnastics Association (IGA) meant local athletes had the opportunity to train on the equipment used by medal-winning gymnasts at the Olympics.

Chris Adams, CEO of IGA, said the partnership was an "important step inspiring the gymnastics in our community".

The club said the "top-tier apparatus", which arrived earlier in November, would give local athletes "a unique advantage in their development".

A club spokesperson said "the new training setup will offer gymnasts access to the latest in gymnastics technology and equipment, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed".
