Peter Braidwood spotted a fencepost covered in ice that had been blown by the wind in the Glenshee Hills, Ballater. He said: "Rime ice forms when supercooled water droplets freeze onto surfaces such as fenceposts and usually point towards where the wind has been blowing from."

"Tiny house or giant dog?" asks Fiona Gold who snapped this image of her dog Fergus while on a walk near Carbeth, Stirlingshire, with daughter Beth. She said: "We're very lucky to have this walk so close to home."
