Woman taken to hospital after dog attack

Emergency services were called out last week

A woman was taken to hospital after being attacked by a dog in Aberdeenshire, BBC Scotland News has learned.

Police Scotland confirmed officers received a report of the woman and a dog being attacked by another dog in the Udny Station area at about 16:10 on Thursday.

"The woman was taken to hospital for treatment," a police statement said. "Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."

The breed of the dog in question is not yet known.
