A County Antrim gaelic footballer has appeared in court accused of injuring a woman in a collision last year.
A woman in her 30s was hit by a van on the Glenravel Road in Martinstown on 26 October 2024.
Kavan Keenan, 26, of Millfield Ballymena, is charged with causing grievous bodily injury by driving without due care and attention.
The defender, who plays for the Antrim county team and All Saints GAC, is also charged with taking a vehicle without the owner's consent.
Following the collision, police said a white Peugeot van was found by members of the public with damage to the front.
The van left the scene once officers arrived but was later recovered.
Keenan who was named in last year's All Ireland Tailteann Cup Team of the year, appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Monday.
He spoke only to confirm his name and address and that he understood the charges.
He was granted bail with the case adjourned until 17 September 2025 at Antrim Crown Court.
