A man has been jailed for stalking after more than 100 videos of women being followed were recovered from his phone.

Shekhem Manning-Egeonwon, 20, of Sturgess Avenue, Hendon, north-west London, was sentenced at Harrow Crown Court to 32 months in prison.

The Metropolitan Police said Manning-Egeonwon had also filmed victims through windows, approached women directly, or knocked on their door.

“His actions were menacing and highly intrusive and caused extreme distress to the women he targeted," said Det Con Jas Brar.

"It is completely unacceptable that anyone should be afraid to leave their home for fear of this kind of harassment or that their sense of personal safety should be damaged in this way."

The Met said it had received a report last September that a woman was followed by Manning-Egeonwon as she took her child to school.

Manning-Egeonwon was arrested on suspicion of stalking after being identified to officers by the victim, who is in her 30s.

As he was being detained, another woman in her 40s approached officers to tell them she had also been being followed by him, the force said.

More than 100 videos were later recovered from his phone, showing the two victims, as well as more women, being followed during day and night.

Manning-Egeonwon was convicted at the same court on 12 January, where he had previously pleaded not guilty.

He changed his plea mid trial after evidence from his mobile phone was presented in court that showed him following women.

Friday's sentencing judge also made Manning-Egeonwon subject to a restraining order.
