British Transport Police have identified three men they wished to speak to

A man had his earlobe bitten off during a row on a late night train service.

The victim was left "permanently disfigured" by the attack on a Merseyrail service travelling between Hunts Cross in Liverpool and Ormskirk, Lancashire.

British Transport Police said it had identified three men they are searching for in connection with the confrontation, which happened at 22:50 GMT on 14 March.
