Appeal after taxi driver 'grabbed around throat'

The assault happened near the Loopy Shrew restaurant at about 20:20 GMT on Saturday, West Mercia Police said.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a taxi driver was "grabbed around the throat" outside his car in Shrewsbury.
West Mercia Police said the assault, which also involved the driver being pushed, took place on Saturday at about 20:20 GMT near to the Loopy Shrew restaurant.
The force described the suspect as a white man in his 40s who was slim with short grey hair.
It asked anyone who may have witnessed the assault or have any information is asked to contact West Mercia Police.
