A man has been charged with murder after another man was found dead in a home.

Officers were called to an address in Brierley Court in Hereford at about 15:40 GMT on Saturday and Jamie Gawler, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mathew Jonathan, 39, of no fixed abode, was charged with murder and is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Mr Gawler was "kind, generous and funny", his family said.

They stated they were "devastated" by the passing of their "very much-loved son, brother, uncle and friend" and added he was a "true gentleman".
