A 71-year-old woman has denied assaulting a woman and driving dangerously in a South Yorkshire hospital car park.

Susan Mackay pleaded not guilty to two charges at Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday, including one of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

It is alleged Ms Mackay, of Laneham Close in Doncaster, attacked the victim outside the city's women and children's hospital on 24 January this year.

She is due to stand trial for the alleged offences on 21 April 2026.

The court was told Ms Mackay was in a "public service role", which she was "unable to continue with" until criminal proceedings were completed.

She was granted unconditional bail until her next court appearance.
