Two people have been arrested and an axe recovered after a disturbance in a residential street.

Police were called to Tithe Barn Court in Newark, Nottinghamshire, at about 18:45 BST on Monday.

Nottinghamshire Police said a woman had been seen threatening a man with an axe during an argument.

A 43-year-old man and 37-year-old woman were both arrested on suspicion of affray.

No-one was injured in the incident, the force added.
