A town's bypass was closed for more than four hours after a tanker came off the road.

Emergency services were called to the A143 at Harleston, Norfolk, at about 10:30 BST.

Norfolk Police advised drivers to use other routes during the closure, with four fire crews sent to make the scene safe completing their work just after 12:00.

The East of England Ambulance Service said one man was assessed by paramedics but did not need hospital treatment.

People working nearby have told the BBC that the tanker ended up in a hedge near the Mendham Lane junction.

The A143 was open fully by 15:00.
