Guernsey’s new football stadium is celebrating three major milestones as it gears up to welcome players and fans early next year.

The pitch at Victoria Park has been installed, the stands are being assembled, and the clubhouse and changing rooms are now weather-proofed, the Guernsey FA said.

The pitch, designed for professional football with grass-like fibres, and the stands are set to be completed by mid-November.

The clubhouse and changing rooms are also progressing well, it said.

'Well on track'

Victoria Park will serve as the new headquarters for Guernsey FA and the home ground for Guernsey FC.

Gary Roberts, CEO of Guernsey FA, said: "It’s great to see Victoria Park taking shape, and 10 years on since planning began, we’re pleased that the project is well on track."
