Northern Ireland DJ Dean McCullough has been evicted from I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! making him the second campmate to leave the jungle.

Ant and Dec announced the result of the eviction vote, which was between the Radio 1 DJ and Irish retired boxer Barry McGuigan, during Sunday night’s episode.

McCullough said he was happy enough to be going home and he had lived the experience to the full.

On Monday morning in an interview with ITV's Good Morning Britain he said: "I did it for my mum to make her proud."

McCullough faced seven different challenges after being selected for the first Bushtucker trial.

Throughout his time in the camp he managed to win 33 stars.

He was a popular campmate amongst the other celebrities he was well known for singing in the jungle and cheering people up with his infectious energy.

'Nothing like I expected'

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec, he said: "I woke up this morning and I thought, 'If I go today, I am over the moon.' Because I've not missed out on anything ... I've had the full experience.

"It was nothing like I expected it to be.

The DJ courted controversy when, along with another campmate, he sneaked contraband into the jungle in the shape of tea bags.

McFly's Danny Jones is the favourite to be crowned king of the jungle, with the Reverend Richard Coles, Coleen Rooney and Maura Higgins close behind.
