Pedestrian in his 80s dies in crash

A pedestrian in his 80s has died after being hit by a car in Dorset.
Emergency services were called to Station Road in West Moors at about 07:40 GMT after the crash involving a black Nissan X-Trail.
The man's family has been informed. Road closures were put in place for emergency services to respond and for a detailed examination of the scene.
Sgt Mike Gatfield, of Dorset Police, asked anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with officers. No one has been arrested.
