Jersey's Norman Christmas Market has been delayed by the bad weather

Jersey's Norman Christmas market has been delayed by bad weather.

The French-themed event was originally scheduled to begin on Monday but had to be postponed after the St Malo ferry due to bring traders from France was cancelled, organisers said.

Traders were now set to arrive on the island on Wednesday 11 December and would begin setting up stalls at the Weighbridge from 09:00 GMT, they added.

The market was due to be open from 09:00 to 18:00 each day but organisers said stalls could "stay open late, depending on attendance".

The market has been organised by Maison de Normandie and will close at 16:00 on Sunday.
