Two members of the House of Keys who resigned from their roles in the health department have taken up new political roles elsewhere in the government.

Former minister Lawrie Hooper and political member Joney Faragher left the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) in October in a row over Manx Care funding.

Both MHKs have now joined the Department of Infrastructure (DOI), with Hooper also taking up a role at the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.

It follows a recent reshuffle of the Council of Ministers, which saw Michelle Haywood appointed DOI minister and Claire Christian appointed to head up the DHSC.

Haywood's predecessor at the DOI, Tim Crookall, was made a minister without portfolio in the reshuffle, while David Ashford replaced Kate Lord-Brennan as minister for the Cabinet Office.

Hooper and Faragher join Dawn Kinnish MLC as political members at the DOI after the resignation of Stu Peters MHK from his role at the department following the new ministerial appointments.
