Woman killed in A87 crash in west Highlands named

A 56-year-old woman who was killed in a car crash on the A87 in the west Highlands has been named by police.
Kim Gilbert, who was from the Stafford area, was pronounced dead at the scene near Inverinate, about two miles south of Eilean Donan Castle.
She had been a passenger in a white Vauxhall Astra that crashed at about 11:10 on Tuesday.
A 57-year-old man, who was driving the car, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
Police Scotland said inquiries into the crash were ongoing and appealed for any drivers who saw the car in the area around the time of the accident to contact them., external
