Two arrested after woman threatened with gun

Police were called following reports of a man with a gun on Wellesley Street in Shelton

Two men have been arrested after a woman was reported to have been threatened with a gun.

Police were called to the incident, which happened outside a house on Wellesley Street in Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent, shortly after 10:00 GMT on Friday.

The two men, aged 30 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, Staffordshire Police said.

The 30-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment. Both men remain in custody.
