Police and ambulance vehicles have been called to Northlands Park in Basildon due to concerns for a man's welfare

Police have set up a cordon at a park following an "incident".

Officers were called to concerns for the welfare of a man in Northlands Park, Basildon, just before 09:35 BST.

Essex Police said it remained at the scene and its response was continuing.

"We are asking people to avoid the park if at all possible while our inquiries are carried out," it said.
