A road has been closed in both directions after a single-vehicle crash early this morning, in which two people were injured.

Northamptonshire Police said the emergency services were called to the A43 at the Mawsley roundabout at about 05:15 BST.

The collision involved a grey Citroen C1 and both its occupants have been taken to Kettering General Hospital.

Officers have advised motorists to avoid the area. Bus operator Stagecoach said there was congestion and the incident had caused delays to its 10 and X10 services.
