A single-decker bus and a van have collided on a main road through York city centre.

Gillygate was shut to traffic between Lord Mayor’s Walk and Bootham following the crash at about 06:15 BST, but has since re-opened, North Yorkshire Police said.

The force said the "minor" collision had also involved a cyclist, but there were no injuries.

The bus has now been recovered and the route is clear, police said.
