Man critical in hospital after 'altercation' on street

A man is critical in hospital after an “altercation” with another man on a street in Fife.
Police said a 58-year-old sustained serious injuries in the incident on Colliston Avenue in Glenrothes.
Officers cordoned off the road shortly after 09:00 while the man was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.
Police Scotland said an investigation into the incident was under way.
